Pack 197 – Let’s Go Fishing!
At our recent committee meeting, we decided to offer another July pack event for our Cub Scouts. So grab a scout friend and your fishing pole and come meet us at the park!
Who Can Attend?
All Cub Scouts, family members and siblings. This is NOT a drop off event. At least one parent needs to stay with their cub scout(s). PLEASE send me an RSVP so I know how much bait to bring – firstname.lastname@example.org or text 913.226.8596.
Monday, July 22 from 6:30-8 p.m.
6533 Hilmar Dr
I have reserved the Hilmar Gazebo.
What to bring?
This is a BYOP event – bring your own fishing pole. I will bring some bait (worms) to share with the group. No license is required to fish at this location. However, this is a catch and release pond, and I am not good at taking fish off of hooks so please plan to help your scout if they make a catch.
This is a great opportunity for incoming Bears to work on their “A Bear Goes Fishing” elective.
Feel free to bring your own snack to have under the gazebo. Water will be provided. Please bring a reusable water bottle.
